"Fleeting Shadow — Younes Khourassani's work reminds me of my own steps into the world of painting. A restless soul, seething, ready to overflow, to dissolve into matter, to wage its struggles with shifting shadows whose outline one can barely make out. Yet they are there, present, unsettling. We believe we are looking at them, but it is they who are looking at us. Dark silhouettes draped in jute cloth, hidden among palm leaves and other materials picked up at random along the street.
